Beryl is part of the Gem litter, and everyone agrees he’s a jewel of a dog! From the streets of rural Texas, he’s decided that living inside and eating on the regular is highly preferable. Beryl is a lot of fun! He really enjoys zooming around the yard with his sibling Amethyst, playing all sorts of puppy games. Toys are fun, but only if he’s stealing them from his sister, or vice versa. He’s in love with one particular shoe and leaves the rest alone. Belly rubs and pets are the best! Beryl currently weighs about 25 lbs. He has long, gangly legs and big feet, so he’s likely to be on the larger size when full grown. He has very unusual and stunning markings and coloring. He is crate trained and sleeps through the night. He is submissive to the resident female GSD, and interested in but not aggressive toward the resident kitty. We are working on house training and seem to be getting close. He has no leash manners to speak of, it’s a work in progress. Like most puppies, he thinks the best way to get attention is to jump up, so training should be the first thing on the agenda in his new home. All that said, he is smart and treat motivated. With proper training, he has all the ingredients to be a really great dog! Please contact your caseworker to learn more about Beryl!
