SSR Avery was rescued from an rural shelter in Texas. She was scheduled to be euthanized right before SSR saved her and transported her to Virginia. Shortly after arriving, some volunteers noticed that she was getting large in the belly. After a quick visit to the vet, it was confirmed that she was pregnant. Avery gave birth to 10 puppies on May 12th, 2023. The puppies will be able to go their forever homes when they're 8 weeks old.
