Ducky was found roaming rural Texas with six other dogs that were also rescued. Sh e arrived to Virginia on March 3rd. Her foster will update her bio once he gets to know her! Ducky is an amazing little pup. She is very intelligent, learning tasks very quickly. She is very love motivated and always eager to please her humans. She gets along with large and small dogs. She has no problem with our cats, other than she wants to play with them; cats being cats, they would prefer not to do so. We have seen no issues with her with children when they have approached to provide some loves. She is fairly good on a leash. I have gone on one run with her and she runs better than walking on the leash for now. We are working with paying attention to her human. She is working on her agility with a ramp and platform. She does well with new situations, but once exposed a second time, she is quite comfortable. Ducky does not like baths thus far, but she loves going into the creek. She can definitely get overstimulated if we do too many new things at once. It becomes more difficult to get and hold her attention when this happens, but she recovers very quickly. I have noticed no real prey drive yet. She is a lovebug. She loves her humans and tries to impress us with her smarts.
