Who's a cutie-patootie? Amelie, that’s who! Amelie was found on a dusty rural road in the Rio Grande Valley along with five other dogs. She’s an SSR dog now, with better times ahead. Amelie really likes to eat! Good thing, too, because she’s a skinny little girl right now, a reflection no doubt of her prior circumstances. Whatever those were, she’s an exuberant and energetic puppy. Her favorite hobbies so far are playing Wrestlemania with her puppy foster siblings, playing with squeaky toys, stealing shoes, and chasing the resident kitty. She’s very respectful of the resident mature GSD. Like most puppies, Amelie likes to jump up to show her love, and she is a bit on the mouthy side right now. We are working on better manners. Also, she has no idea what leash manners are. She is, however, the perfect age to begin training, which will provide her with the solid foundation for good dog behavior throughout her life. She is not yet house broken, but she is getting better all the time. If you’d like to meet this great girl, please let your caseworker know.
