Learn more about the Belgian Shepherd Malinois.
Buttons was found as a stray in Texas with her friend, Benny. They do not need to be adopted to the same home. They arrived to their foster in Maryland on June 16th. 6.25.23 update — Buttons is doing well and thriving in a home environment. She is getting better about being in her crate and only protests a little. She has typical Malinois tendencies; mouthy, moderate to high prey drive. She hyper fixates on our cats and will chase them but can be redirected. She has the potential to coexist with cats but will need training/proper introductions. 7.3.23 update — still a work in progress with the cat, she is very mouthy so probably would not be suitable for young children. Adopter should have malinois experience as she’s getting more and more drive and mal attitude as she settles in. Working on recall and leash training and she is pretty agile and can jump fairly high when properly motivated. Fenced in yard definitely recommended for her safety and happiness as she loves running around. Will happily nap with you given she’s had sufficient mental/physical stimulation.
