Dog Name: Ms. Artemisia (means “aromatic flowering plants” in Spanish which descends from the Greek goddess of forest and hills “Artemis”)
Description: Black and tan. 73 lbs
Age: Approximately 10+years old (Senior)
Gender: spayed female
Medical History: Currently being treated for Giardia and Osteoarthritis. Heartworm negative
Behavior: Doesn’t act her age. Medium energy and enjoys playing with stuffed toys. Good with cats, but not comfortable around small dogs.
 

Artemesia and her daughter, Araminta, were rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas after months of being placed there.  Artemesia arrived in Virginia on April 29th. Check back soon for updates!
