Chica was rescued from a kill shelter in Texas. She is companions with Maris and Mathis. Chica, Maris, and Mathis arrived in VA on March 5th Chica arrived to her foster in PA on March 5th. She is an extremely sweet girl and has nothing but love to give. She is pretty underweight due to coming into rescue with hookworm, but should start putting on some weight soon! She loves other dogs, and even does fairly well with the resident cats (does need minor correction to break focus). She is heartworm positive and has started her slow kill treatment. Chica appears to be completely housebroken, and is working on settling in her crate. She walks well on a leash, but does get startled by cars passing by. She may do best in a home where someone can be with her most of the day, as she is a true Velcro dog and prefers to be with her people!
