Hi my name's Axel - I'm a German Shepherd/Aussie/Chihuahua/Pitt mix - I am just over a year and I weigh 50 pounds. I am the sweetest pup you will ever meet - I love all people! I've had lots of training and heel really well on a walk, have learned to sit instead of jump for a greeting and can "place" on a dog bed. All my skills need work but everything is there. I love to go on walks, sometimes I get too excited around other dogs when I see them because I want to play. I will happily sleep next to you on the couch or on a dog bed and if you will let me I will be happy to sleep in your bed. I am fully crate trained- sometimes if my crate is open I will even go in there to take a nap. Right now I have a doggie door so I go outside when I need to do my business but lately outside time has been restricted and I have shown to be fully house-trained. All I really want is to be next to you and be loved.
I am a good eater and I am good at alerting you to delivery men - I am small but scrappy! I like playing with toys and chewing on things (not your things) but sometimes I will tear up the occasional kleenex or paper towel. There are bunnies in my front yard and I really like to chase them. I have a great nose and would be a great candidate for nose scent training. I also have major hops (not over the 6 foot fence) and I would love to do agility because I like to do things that use my mind.
I probably wouldn't be the best candidate for a house with a cat because if they run I might chase. I might want to be an only dog because I am not getting along well with my canine brothers but it may be them not me. I think I may be introduced to other dog friends to see what the best home situation would be for me. But I am loyal and will think that my new owner is the best! Will you meet me and maybe we can find me a forever home?
