Until very recently, when his elderly owner passed away, Sammy lived on a property in TX with 20 cats and a dog. He arrived in VA on 4/10. He is a very laid back, calm, and quiet gentleman. He doesn't mind the outdoors but much prefers being inside. He loves to be petted and brushed. He enjoys other calm dogs after a slow introduction. He can be anxious if left totally alone and will require a low-medium energy canine sibling in his forever home. He totally ignores cats. Sammy is reserved and a little uncertain about all the sudden changes in his life, but he's an absolute sweetheart who will blossom once he decompresses and knows he's safe.
