Where The Money GoesMany ask how we manage our funds. Since we are an all-volunteer rescue, all monies are spent saving dogs - some of the monies are spent directly on the dogs and some are spent indirectly on the dogs. We give examples of both in Tables 1 and 2 below. Monies Spent Directly On The DogsTable 1 gives the average cost for each dog coming in from Texas. While we use Texas as an example, please understand that most of the costs remain the same, regardless of where the dog originates. It's easy to see that the Adoption Fee that we charge does not cover the expenses incurred for an individual dog.Note: Table 1 does not include medical costs for dogs with other conditions needing veterinary treatment or ongoing medical costs while the dogs are in foster care.
Monies Spent Indirectly On The DogsSSR incurs other costs as we do our work. These costs are typically related to the activities listed in Table 2.
