Adoption Application Form
Please review the following very carefully
- Much of our communication with you will be via email. To prevent our messages from ending up in your junk/spam folder, please add apps@shenandoahrescue.org to your contact list/address book.
- The application form works best on a desktop computer and is not fully compatible with mobile devices. If you must use a smart phone and have issues, please email us at apps@shenandoahrescue.org for resolution.
- There is a non-refundable $20 application fee that must be paid prior to accessing the online form. After an application is successfully submitted an automated message will be sent to you. If you do not see this email in your inbox, spam or junk folders, please forward a copy of your Paypal receipt to apps@shenandoahrescue.org so that we can provide assistance.
- There are two steps to submit an application; paying the fee and completing the online form. Please be prepared complete and submit your application directly after submitting the payment.
SOME FINAL THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE PROCEEDING
All applicants must be at least 18 years of age. All applications must be submitted by the applicant/co-applicant only. No third parties.
We cannot guarantee that a specific dog will still be available when your application has been approved. Our dogs are often adopted very quickly, however your application is for approval to adopt from Shenandoah Shepherd Rescue. It is not specific to a dog. Approvals are good for two years.
STEP 1: PAY FEE
To pay the application fee, select an option from the drop-down menu below and click the “Pay Now” button. You will be taken to the PayPal website where you can choose to pay using a credit card or a PayPal account.
STEP 2: COMPLETE THE ONLINE FORM
After your payment has been received, you will be redirected to the SSR Adoption Application form.
- Required fields will have a red * after them. Please be sure all required fields are completed before clicking Submit
- Typing directly into the fields is a more reliable method than cut/paste, as sometimes this will create null or invalid characters or spaces that may cause the form to error.
- MOBILE DEVICE USERS : after paying, you must scroll down on the Paypal page to see “Return to Merchant”. That is the link that will take you to the online Application form.
