Learn more about the German Shepherd Dog.
Hans was found wandering in a Houston, TX neighborhood by a kind human. He was severely underweight and was taken to a vet for basic veterinary care. He is now safe with his caring TX foster family and will be making his way to VA in the near future. Hans is estimated to be between 1 and 3 years old. He has a clean bill of health outside of being on the thin side. He is heart worm negative. Hans is housebroken, does well in his crate, friendly with foster brother and sister German Shepherds and wants to be friends with the cats in the house too! Hans has not been introduced to little humans yet. He loves his car rides and thoroughly enjoys his playtime with his squeaky pig! And don't forget that snack of EZ cheese. More please! Of course he will take head scritches until your arm is ready to fall off. Hans is your typical GSD who takes his job of protecting the household seriously. He is wary of strangers. It takes him a couple minutes to settle down when a new person comes to the house. Hans is not aggressive, just keeps his distance and barks. He knows what a leash is but doesn't have great leash manners when it comes to pulling. He is improving though! Hans will be ready to settle in with his forever family soon!
