Callan was found on the side of a road lying in a pool of blood after being hit by a car. When he arrived at a local TX shelter, he was placed on a 24-hour deadline since they were unable to provide him adequate medical care. SSR stepped in and had him properly cared for. Callan had no broken bones and he was treated for his severe flesh wounds.
Callan is now being fostered in VA and he is healing well. He is housebroken, loyal beyond words, highly trainable, dog friendly, protective, and loves his toys and playtime! He does have a prey drive for squirrels. With dogs, it's a 'Hi'! Callan was recently neutered, and he is up to date on vaccinations. He is currently on the slow kill protocol to treat his heartworms. If you are looking for a smart, loyal, and playful guy, you need to meet Callan!
