Learn more about the German Shepherd Dog. Shelly 2969 needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start?
Shelly was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Texas only two hours before her scheduled euthanasia due to the shelter being out of space. Shelly had overstayed her welcome according to their guidelines.
Now she is temporarily fostered in Laurel, Delaware, but will need a foster or adopter by December 2nd! She is a very sweet girl and gets along with other dogs. She had a kennel mate (small dog) when she was at the shelter in Texas.
Shelly has showstopper looks. She has the most beautiful, soft coat that her foster has ever felt, soulful brown eyes, and adorable sable markings on her toes. She has a great personality too; she is an excellent snuggler and loves to lean into you for pets and praise. She is very food & praise motivated and redirects easily, so she is already a quick study when it comes to training. She walks well on a leash and rides even better in a car! Updates will be posted as this beautiful girl settles in.
