Baby Billie was brought to SSR’s attention via a Facebook post in an RGV Feeders group. As a two month old puppy, maybe even younger, she had been dropped in a rural area outside of a trailer park. An amazing woman that lived there had been feeding her, and one day found her wounded from what appeared to be a dog attack. The woman brought Billie into her small trailer and did her best to clean Billie’s wounds.
A few days later, Billie woke up with crusted eyes and an apparent infection from her wounds. An SSR volunteer drove to pick her up and get her into the vet as soon as possible. Billie indeed had some infections and was cleaned, bandaged, and given antibiotics. She is now healing with a vet tech in San Antonio and is receiving her vaccinations to be able to travel to Virginia! Once she arrives to Virginia, she will be available for adoption.
