Ferguson was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Texas in April 2023. Shortly after he arrived in Alexandria VA he had a successful FHO surgery. Ferguson is heartworm positive, but is currently being treated by SSR and SSR will continue to cover treatment costs until Ferguson tests negative. Ferguson is estimated to be about 7-8 years old, and this sweet guy clearly led a rough and unfair life before being rescued by SSR. He is very low key and quiet, even in a house full of loud dogs. Dog friendly, has shown some prey drive so not recommended with cats or other small animals. Ferguson's favorite times of day are going on short walks. He walks slowly and easily and is a joy on a leash.
