What can I say about this spunky, fun, senior…except that she shouldn’t be overlooked because of her age!

Bonnie is the most easy-going, chill dog.  You don’t know she’s in the house, she lays around, cuddles on couch with you, doesn’t bark or get over-excited about activity in the house even when my other dogs do, and absolutely could care less about my cats!  If I had a camera I bet they come out at night and sleep with her!

  • She can be left loose in the house, you never have to crate her.
  • She’ll find a corner of your couch and make it her own.
  • She gets so excited when her humans come home, wags her butt and gives lots of kisses!
  • Her recall is 100% on point! Fence not required.
  • No prey drive, rabbits, squirrels or cats can walk by and she doesn’t care!
  • BONUS: Completely healthy for her age - vet didn’t detect ANY issues most senior dogs have!

**Slow introductions are a must. As she does have some alpha dog tendencies, is unsure of other dogs when she first meets them and tries to boss my other dogs around with a little grumble, or when wanting to be the first dog in or out the door.

INITIAL ENTRY: Bonnie was brought into a local veterinarian office to be euthanized because the owners were unable to keep her. The vet refused to euthanize a dog with so much energy and life to them, so they contacted SSR and of course we said that we would take her!

Don’t let this girl’s age deter you, she has a lot of youth to her!
