Sweet, intelligent, and a little quirky describe this handsome pup! Cosar is a young and relatively small guy that just wants to be loved! He is the definition of a velcro dog and will follow you to the ends of the Earth and back! He never wants to be far from you whether inside the house or outside adventuring and is a GREAT snuggler! He walks incredibly well on a leash and is working on learning some basic commands. He is also off-leash trained and recalls wonderfully. He is mostly potty trained and learning quickly. While he has only been in his foster home for a short while, he has adjusted really well to the routine and family life. He loves kids and everyone he has met!. He is very food motivated and occasionally requires correction for guarding his food. This manifest as a vocalization and nothing more however, he corrects REALLY WELL and is learning that he will always have food and he does not need to be worried about it. With time and training his foster mom is confident this issue will be extinguished. He gets along perfectly with his dog foster brothers and other dogs he has met. He loves giving humans and dogs kisses and is a big old mush when it comes to play time. He is very interested in cats and will bark but so far is only a bunch of noise and no action. He does exhibit some prey drive outside (his foster home is a farm with lots of livestock that he barks and will lunge at) but again, corrects super easily and is trainable so this may be a non-issue with time and training. This is to be determine. To date, he appears to be all talk and no action. He is crate trained and loves to snooze in his kennel on his own time. He LOVES to play in the water and mud with his foster brother! He is the perfect balance between a dog that wants to relax all day and one who is ready for the next adventure! Give this sweet boy a chance and you will be happy you did! Cosar was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas.
