Morissa was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas, and she arrived to her foster family in Alexandria on October 1st. She’s a petite German Shepherd mix (45 pounds), super sweet and playful, and gives the best hugs. Loves all new animals and people she meets. Working on basic training and manners. Active, but not overly so - could be an apartment/condo/townhouse dog with adequate walks/hikes/etc. Does well in crate - initially a little vocal and works to try to get out, but quickly settles and relaxes. Overall a quiet dog, rarely barks even when our resident dogs are letting the Amazon drivers have it. At this point, unable to recommend for very small children given her friendliness and impulse control, but will work on that and update.
