Dior was rescued from a local shelter. He suffered some abuse in his past and, due to this, is slightly fearful of new things. He will need a strong, confident, patient leader (perferably with Mal/Dutchie experience) to help him gain confidence and establish himself as a balanced dog. He is puppy mouthy and does the typical Mal "air snaps". He has little training and has a tendency to jump up from a standing or sitting position (we're working on it!). Dior is just figuring out what toys are. He plays well, although somewhat rough, with other dogs after proper introductions and takes corrections from alpha dogs. Can not be placed in a home with cats under any circumstances; extremely high prey drive. He is super smart (treat motivated) and super affectionate. With the right leader, Dior is sure to be a terrific dog just waiting to be shown the proper way to "dog". He is absolutely not a "starter" dog for the first time dog owner.
