Looking for a fun-sized sidekick that is super sweet, dog friendly, non-reactive, kid obsessed and has the cutest batgirl ears ever?! Meet Cindy! Although Cindy looks like a puppy and we suspect that she is still under a year old, we believe that based on her unknown breed mix she will likely not get much bigger. Our vets are confident that Cindy was hit by a car, left to fend for herself, suffering from a shatter growth plate, radial ulnar fracture and severe road rash on her left front leg. Her little bones healed and most of her road rash has too resulting is a newly designed but perfectly functioning leg. Cindy was recently spayed and seen for a complete ortho evaluation of her leg; all these months later the vet found and removed tiny pebbles of asphalt from under her skin, putting into perspective the extent of the injury she sustained. But what did not shatter?: her sweet personality, love of people and strong will. How Cindy did not contract a massive infection from her open wounds, let alone manage her pain and survive all alone is unimaginable and even more heartbreaking after you meet her. Cindy eventually found her way to a stranger that immediately began caring for her, granting her with one of the greatest gifts ..becoming an SSR dog. Cindy is a treasure and will easily incorporate into any family that promises to love her forever. She is an excellent patient at the vet, a dream in the car, crate trained, potty trained and overall a very healthy girl! Cindy walks nicely on leash with the exception of sometimes deciding to walk between your legs or cut you off unexpectedly, but she is a quick learner and already improving. If you have a little space in your home and a huge space in your heart for a special little girl please contact your caseworker to meet Cindy.
