Axel is in the house! He arrived to east coast foster care July 9. He is a nice boy, and very affectionate. He is a big boy, at almost 80 lean pounds, he could stand to gain a little bit of weight. He’s great in the car. He gets along well with Murcie, who is likely his mom or sister, they look very much alike. I cannot imagine he doesn’t like other dogs, but we will be testing him further. He is heartworm positive, and SSR is paying for his slow-kill treatment. He sure doesn’t act like he doesn’t feel well. He is happy and active, at 3 years old, well past all that puppy nonsense. Axel is currently in a kennel-type situation, so a crate is recommended to get him acclimated to living in the house. Please apply if you’re interested in adopting, or if you’re already approved, contact your caseworker. Axel will be at the adoption event on July 16, and is ready for adoption.
