Quick Calle Facts: 1 year old spayed female, golden retriever mix, 50 pounds. good with cats, dogs, and children. Low energy. Crate and house trained. Update 9/25: Calle went to an adoption event yesterday and loved meeting all the people. She was friendly with new people and not nervous. She even sat for treats and pets. Update 9/17: Calle is doing great with the resident cats and showing promise learning the down and place commands. She LOVES to go on walks. Update 9/13: Calle is adjusting extremely well to house life! I suspect she has lived in a house before. Despite missing 1 front leg she enjoys chasing squirrels. However, she is easily (and surprisingly) redirectable. She has already learned the sit command and is sitting politely by the door to go potty outside! (aw!) She does not require much exercise and prefers to loaf around the house. So far she does not exhibit a great interest in toys but is enjoying the occasional bone. She LOVES treats and food. She is easy to train so far since she is food motivated. April 2022: Poor Calle suffered the fate of so many in Texas. She was hit by a car and ultimately lost one of her front legs. However, she has completely recovered from her injuries and is doing extremely well in her foster home. She can travel stairs with ease and loves going on walks. Being a tripod does not effect her physical abilities in any way.
