Marsha is estimated to be about 2 years old, though we think she is likely older. She has moderate energy, and is super sweet to humans, in some cases she may need a short warming up period and may be a little cautious at first. As you can see, she has the cutest ears with one up and one down! She is crate trained, housebroken, like walks and car rides if they aren’t too long She has been fostered with a smaller, more energetic dog that she will play with and they get along great. She seems to be ok with most dogs with a proper introduction, but has been known to be selective. We believe she would do fine in a home with other dogs but a meet and greet would be required and feedings should be separate because of food guarding around other dogs. Cats are a no go, she has lived in a home with 2 cats but they needed separate living areas, and Marsha got very anxious when she knew they were near. She is great with kids and has lived with a five year old. She didn’t seem bothered or nervous in the bit by her, and will often greet her with a kiss or roll over on her back for a belly rub. She has been around kids as young as 2 and is very gentle, we think she’d be fine around polite kids of any age. She does not have formalized training that we know, but she does know how to sit! Once sitting, she gently takes a treat. She has shown a propensity to climb up on a counter and take food out of the pantry so definitely will need to be worked with her on, although she has gotten much better since she arrived here. She also has no problem letting you know when she thinks it’s time to eat, she will walk around the kitchen talking until someone listens! She loves treats and will sit by the cookie jar until she gets one.
