Garland was rescued from a high kill shelter from Texas and it's hard to imagine who decided to let this little angel go! Their loss can be your gain because this sweet lady is the total package. Enter Miss Garland; cute as button with her pretty red coat, curled tail, and bright eyes. One look from you and her tail starts wagging. She is gentle and wants nothing more than to be loved on. Great with other dogs, she would be fine as an only dog but could just as easily enjoy a fur sibling (or 2)... She is mild mannered and even tempered, the perfect lady. Garland is in the sweet spot of life, past her puppy years but still young and spry (she even keeps up with my 14 week old puppy!) and loves a good romp in the yard. That said, she knows how to chill and take it easy when it's time. Garland is potty trained, knows sit, and will "stay" and wait for her food until you tell her she can eat. She has zero food aggression, rides in a car like and angel, and quickly comes when called. We are working on some leash manners but a gentle leader or prong collar should work wonders on this darling girl. Garland easily goes into her kennel but will whine a bit before settling down. I expect that will lessen as she gets used to the crate but I also think that she will gain "house privileges" quickly. I don't see her being a dog that needs a kennel when her family is away. If you're looking to a dog who will easily and seamlessly blend into your home... Miss Garland is your girl!
