Ying is a young adult German Shepherd mix that is approximately 50 lbs and just a goofy, joyful dog. She is house trained, crate trained (with a treat - but does not resist) and great with other dogs (large and small). She is very gentle so I think she would do great with kids and cats (although not tested) but she is not mouthy and will only jump to give you a very gentle hug. She is not very vocal and has only started barking at people walking by when she is in the backyard. Ying does need some leash training that we are currently working on as she pulls but is non reactive to other people and dogs. She is very intelligent and eager to please. She can be a little timid at first and is very submissive. Ying is great in the car but does not know how to play fetch yet. She is heartworm positive but has already started treatment. She is a very easy dog and would love to find her forever home with you!
Ying was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. She is heartworm positive and will be treated at SSR's expense. She arrived in VA on March 5th.
