Quillen was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas and has made his way into SSR’s care. He is a sweet and playful little boy who enjoys wrestling with his fellow puppy fosters, playing ball for hours, chewing squeaky toys, and eating. Quillen is about 4 months old and weighs about 20 lbs. He is not yet fully house broken, but is making good progress. He gets along well with other puppies and the resident GSD, and so far has shown complete indifference to the resident cat. He is learning leash manners. Like all puppies, he will jump up for attention, and can be a little on the mouthy side, so training should be on the agenda in his new home. That said, he seems very smart, eager to please his person, and looks to be a quick learner. Quillen has been vaccinated against rabies, has received a 6 month bordatella vaccine, and will receive the last round of DHPP this week. He will need to be neutered when he turns about 6 months old. If you think Quillen might be a good fit for your family, please ask your caseworker to get in touch.
