Rowan came to SSR from a kill shelter in Texas with a front leg injury that required amputation. Rowan came through his surgery like a champ, and has decided to leave all that unpleasantness in the past and look forward to the happy days ahead. Could those happy days include you?
Rowan is estimated to be a year and a half old and currently weighs about 55 lbs. Word on the street is he’s a big goofball with the energy of a puppy. He arrived from Texas on March 5th and is adjusting well in his foster home. He was a little subdued at first, but he’s becoming more confident in his surroundings as he’s settled in. He seems uninterested in the resident cat so far. He also is dog friendly after appropriate slow introductions. He is house broken, crate trained, and heart worm negative.
Like a typical puppy, Rowan is working on his manners, such as not jumping up to tell you how much he loves you. He still is a little on the mouthy side and also can be quite vocal. After a few short weeks at his foster home he can now navigate the world with three legs..he can use stairs like a pro now!!
While Rowan’s had a ruff start to his life, SSR can’t wait to see him healthy and happy in a loving home. If you are an approved adopter and think that home might be yours, please reach out today to your caseworker and ask to meet him.
