Rexer is everything you'd expect from a puppy. He loves to play and loves treats even more. Hyper one minute, sleeps like a rock the next. He's been great with our two adult German Shepherds (a male and a female), and has no problem playing rough with significantly larger dogs, but can also settle well if there's no major activity going on around him. He also gets along great with our 8-year old cat, who is normally cranky towards people and dogs. He's very affectionate with everyone he meets (adults, kids, other dogs). He's non-destructive (only really chews his toys), but does tend to nibble a bit since his adult teeth are still coming in. He loves to cuddle and try to climb into your lap while you're sitting down. Overall, a very sweet and loving boy! He settles well in the crate, and only complains occasionally, especially if he has a lot of energy and there's a lot of activity going on around him. He also sleeps quietly through the night, and only makes noise in the morning if he's ready to use the bathroom (typically after eight hours of sleep). On that note, he's also fairly potty trained. He hasn't had any accidents in the house for a while, and is very vocal when he needs to go while he's inside the crate. If he's outside the crate, he's recently started hanging out near the door if he has to do his business. This is a new behavior, so there's room for improvement, but for a puppy he holds his #1 and #2 very well (we typically take him out every 3-4 hours just to be safe). We're not 100% sure what his breed mix is, but his coat and size may indicate some German Pinscher. He's also done an interesting howl-like sound a few times, which somewhat resembled a Beagle. He is currently a little underweight (since he's had some tummy issues eating random stuff from the ground outside), but we've still noticed weight gain in the time he's been with us. His adult size probably won't be too large, maybe ~50lbs (but it's hard to tell for sure). A perfect home for sweet Rexer would be one with other furry siblings (we really see him thrive with other animals around) and a fenced in yard to roam in.
