Ruger was from a rescue partner in Texas. He arrived to his foster in Pennsylvania on January 14th. Ruger was heartworm positive but is almost done with his treatment. We will be doing another heartworm test to see if he is negative yet. Ruger is super smart and super sweet but he is your typical cattle dog and takes a little time to warm up to strangers. Once he gets to know you he is a loyal and loving boy. He is great with other dogs and loves to play with them. He has some training and listens very well. Ruger is housebroken and crate trained although he is fine not being in a crate. He would love an active family that enjoys going for walks or hiking but he also loves to cuddle on the couch.
