Townes was a stray that showed up on someone's porch in Texas and asked for help after being on his own in the neighborhood for a few weeks. He finder says he is always wagging his tail and seeks you out for love and belly rubs. He arrived to the Virginia area on January 14th. From Virginia Foster: Townes is a total sweetheart, who just wants to sit in your lap, at your feet, or the place where he can see as many people in the house as possible. He loves making new friends, and loves to play and get belly rubs. He can get a little mouthy when playing, as he is still a puppy, but is easily redirected with a firm no and a toy to chew on instead. Townes is potty trained, crate trained, and is working towards braving the stairs. He does well on a leash and doesn't seem to have a prey drive as observed so far. He is a very easy going dog as far as shepherds go, he doesn't need that much exercise (or want that much exercise) and is very food motivated. He is still hesitant to go #2 on a leash, so for right now a home with a yard would be preferred.
