Midnight and her puppies, Stargazer, Space, and Celestial, were rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas and arrived in Virginia in December 2021. She was adopted in January and recently returned to SSR due to Midnight not being cat friendly. Midnight is heartworm positive and will be treated at SSR's expense. Midnight attended a 7-day Board and Train at a top facility in Ohio in February 2022. She was trained on an e-collar and a prong collar. The facility director (35+ years) assessed Midnight as never having been trained prior to the board and train, which mirrors SSR’s assessment that she was never a house pet, rather a yard dog / breeding dog. She now knows multiple commands including, come, sit, place, down, stay, and heel.
