Thanks to a very proactive adoption coordinator in the small town of Beeville TX that reached out to SSR we would like to introduce Selleck! While his dashing good looks are irresistible his personality is even more spectacular. Selleck is estimated to be about 4 years old. He is neutered, HW negative and quite the gentleman. He is dog friendly, kid friendly and greets all strangers with a lean and tail wag. Selleck is not dog or leash reactive and loves to watch people and dogs as they pass by from the window. In true GSD fashion Selleck loves to be in the company of people, his presence is quiet and graceful especially for his size and he loves to close his eyes while you scratch his head and behind his ears. Selleck walks nicely on leash, rides well in the car, and loves relaxing on a soft bed or in his crate with the door open and a plush blanket. He does sleep in his crate at night to best prepare him for his forever home, but based on our experience thus far his house manners do not require it. Selleck weighs just over 90 pounds and needs to gain at least 10 more so if you are looking for a big guy, this may just be your man. Selleck was cat tested in TX and received a passing grade, but we will retest here in VA once he is more settled. If you are interested in learning more about him please reach out to your caseworker.
