Learn more about the German Shepherd Dog.
Branson was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. He is heartworm positive (to be treated at SSR's expense), chronic ear issues, and does have some weakness in his rear end. All of these are or will be addressed with his foster on Virginia. He arrived to his foster on October 16th. Branson is an absolute doll! He is non reactive to dogs and cats, house trained and will gladly go in his crate with a tasty treat. Branson does great with kids as long as they respect his arthritis, which he manages wonderfully. He is able to go up and down stairs with no issues, actually insisting to follow us if we leave the main level. He loves to play ball in the backyard and empty the toy box so he has ALL the toys. Branson gently takes treats and is currently working on sit and shake. If you are looking for a shepherd without the all the issues that comes with a puppy, Branson is the boy you are looking for. He isn't mouthy or loud and will be the perfect house manager you are looking for!!! He has started heartworm treatment and will be neutered very soon.
