Charlie is an amazingly sweet, highly intelligent, goofy boy, searching for his perfect forever home! He is six years old, but is still very active, and somewhat puppy-like. He is good with other dogs, but prefers female dog friends. He doesn't mind the cats at his foster home, and is good with kids (though he is a large boy at 100 lbs., and could accidentally knock over little ones!). Charlie loves to play fetch, and would do so all day, if you let him! He also REALLY loves to chew on things, (but only appropriate chewies, balls, and toys). He currently goes on nearly hour-long walks every day, but could definitely go further - his foster mom thinks he would be a great hiking or running buddy. Charlie is a VERY vocal guy; he always has a lot to say, and will let you know how he feels about any and everything, especially when he is excited! Charlie suffered from skin issues in Texas, due to yeast, but that is all cleared up, and most of his hair is growing back. He also takes daily medications to control his hypothyroidism. Charlie's ideal home would be one with patient, loving, consistent adopters who have experience with German Shepherd Dogs. He truly thrives on routine and structure, and will bond to his person/people quickly once trust is built.
