Charlie, Baggons, and Baby Girl are true survivors. Their owner had put them and thirteen other pack mates in the back of a U-Haul in the Texas heat. Not surprisingly, thirteen died from heat stroke. These three were dangerously close to death themselves, but they made it and are now looking for a better future. They arrived to their Virginia area fosters on September 18th. Charlie, or Charlie Buckets, is very sweet and loving dog. He is attention starved and just wants to be near you. He is crate trained, house broken and seems to know how to sit. He's not great on a leash but is learning. He is full of hound dog energy and antics so needs an active home. He surprisingly is not very vocal. He loves food of all kind..dog and human food!! He will let you know when he is done eating by launching his bowl across the room! He is dog friendly. As he does not believe in personal space, we would not recommend a home with small children who don't want to be knocked over. He likes everyone he meets and prefers to greet you with a kangaroo hug! Hes still working on keeping 4 on the floor. Cats are hit and miss with him.. highly recommend a meet and greet first.
