Myla was rescued from a shelter in Texas. She arrived to her foster in Virginia on July 17th. She was spayed in Texas before transport to Virginia and has fully recovered. She is affectionate, friendly, active, and intelligent (already opening the front door on her own!) She is housetrained, does well in the car and on a leash and gets along well with other dogs. We think she is more Malinois than German Shepherd. She does have some separation anxiety issues and is not a fan of her crate. Separation anxiety has lessened during her time with her foster family as members of the house are constantly coming and going ... While housetrained, she doesn't usually go while on a leash (has gone number one a couple times). A fenced yard works well. She hasn't tried to jump our low fence, but does examine the perimeter regularly. Will definitely require - and thrive on - training. Probably not the best fit for a first time dog parent.
