Meet Drew, quite possibly the sweetest dog in the universe! Drew was taken to the shelter in TX by animal control unable to walk after being hit by a car. He had deep wounds and was assigned a 72hr. rescue plea….. and so SSR to the rescue! Drew’s wounds were tended to daily with honey bandages and laser treatment. His x-rays were reviewed in TX and by our wonderful vets here in VA and fortunately he did not need surgery. All of Drew’s medical records note how incredibly sweet he is, even when in pain. Drew shows no signs of his past injuries or life; he is truly the friendliest pup and loves everyone! Drew is dog friendly, kid friendly/obsessed, crate trained, an excellent passenger, a true joy to be around and the ultimate family dog. Drew walks nicely on leash, he is not leash reactive, dog reactive nor does he show any signs of resource guarding and is unphased by storms. He is HW+ and will be treated at the expense of SSR. The universe would certainly be a little less amazing without him and feel so lucky to be his foster family!
