Gordo was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. He arrived to his local foster in Virginia on June 26th. He is extremely timid and will need a very patient adopter, as well as a confident dog sibling. He will cautiously come to you for petting and he will gently take treats from your hand. He runs when he sees the leash but once it is on, he walks well. Working on confidence building. He plays outside, but indoors will hide under the bed or behind the couch, his security spaces. He is crated when no one is home and at night as he has not learned to signal when he needs to go outside to potty and has peed indoors occasionally overnight if uncrated. He is a sweet, gentle boy. He does well with big and small dogs and cats. I believe he will be fine with children and will verify once I get him exposed to kids. He is currently recovering from his neuter, done 8/19.
