Chester....nothing breaks our hearts more than getting a phone call about a dog in dire straits. This was the case with Chester. We were contacted about a dog in a ditch behind someone's house. He was laying there, not moving, and seemingly already looked deceased. A volunteer was dispatched immediately and found not only was he still alive, but he was practically a baby. He has scars all over his face and seems to be suffering from distemper. He is receiving vet care at this time and all we can do is hope for the best, but at least he is receiving care and is no longer alone.
