Learn more about the Collie. Learn more about the Siberian Husky. Maxi 1990 needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start?
Maxi arrived in the Virginia area on May 15th and has been living with her foster in Maryland. Maxi is incredibly sweet and affectionate, enjoying her daily neck and chest rubs and tummy scratches. She is showing off her intelligence already, having opened the sliding screen door to the backyard after her potty breaks. She has not shown any signs of separation anxiety but so-far always greets people with a wagging tail. Maxi knows some basic commands but would thrive with someone who will reinforce training on a regular basis. When she is fully healed from her injuries sustained in a likely vehicle strike, she will be ready to run...literally. She is doing well on limiting her physical activity as she recovers, but she shows little sign that she was ever injured or had surgery. She is just a little vocal and mouthy, showing off the Collie and Husky in her. She also has some stubbornness in her too, the Collie side. But she is a really great dog who will make a family very happy. Get ready for a little lady who is content laying her head on you or just beside you.
