4/28/2021 We are in to week two and much has changed!  After a fair amount of persistence, Jag adjusted to wearing a harness. We are now taking walks, and he walks quite well I might add, much to Jag's delight.  He does his business and enjoys all the new scents. He does have to be closely watched as he tends to pick up whatever will fit into his mouth.  Jag has earned roaming privileges outside of the kitchen, with supervision. Everything, and I do mean everything, is a chew toy!  He enjoys, and chooses, the comfy dog bed over his crate now, but willingly goes into the crate when commanded. He's a smart pup!  He knows "sit", "uh-uh", "come" (in progress), "with me", and "off"(also in progress).

4/21/2021 Jag is settling in nicely with his foster family. He has a senior GSD to teach him the ropes and two little humans to race with in the yard. Inside the house, Jag is a laid back pup. I get the impression that he may have spent an inordinate amount of time in a crate prior to his trip east.  As an alternative, Jag has a cushy pillow in the gated kitchen, allowing and encouraging more movement and interaction with the family. Jag is not leash trained and seems to have a real aversion to being leashed. We will try using a harness to see if he can relax and accept this form of control. He's a big boy and too heavy to have to keep carrying!

Bingo, Bogard, Jag, Shylo, Georgia, and Savannah were transferred from a rescue partner in Texas.  They arrived to their Maryland/Virginia fosters on April 17th.  Check back soon for updates.
