Update, 13 April: The Google tells us the name Sora is of Japanese origin and means "Sky". SSR Sora 1945 does have some beautiful sky blue eyes! She seems to have had a home to call her own once upon a time and now she is looking for her forever. Sora is wonderful in her crate at night and during the day - no protests, just sleeps. (Her Husky awooooo is pretty cute!) She has not tried to escape and she does not try to destroy the bed or the toys inside the crate with her. Shy at first, she is already spending more time laying next to her foster hooman and near the resident dogs (small and large). Sora enjoys her long walks with one of the resident GSDs and pays no nevermind to other dogs on her walkabouts. She is very well-behaved in the car and will lay down rather quickly - especially after those exhausting adoption events! We'll introduce Sora to another cat soon to see how she does in a less stressful environment. Sora is a petite 45 pounds and is heartworm negative.
Sora was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. She was ok with cats during her cat test (see photo and video) since she didn't chase, but she was a little interested. She arrived to her Virginia foster on April 10th.
