Thomas is the sweetest senior boy! With his happy-go-lucky personality and his mischievous side shining through on occasion, Thomas would make the perfect companion for someone wanting a lower energy friend. (Just make sure to keep those treats handy!) Our Thomas has done beautifully with cats and every kid he meets. Thomas is currently fostered with another dog friend and they get along swimmingly. Thomas isn’t into playing with dogs and kids due to his age, but he will happily take pets from the little ones and watch the other doggies play all day long. Where is Thomas’ happy place? Glad you asked! Thomas is happiest with his people and his comfy bed. Thomas loves to hang out with the people and wants nothing more than to be in the same room with you, usually napping the day away. Thomas has found the following places to be acceptable for napping: the bedroom, the hallway, the living room, his bed anywhere it lives, spare bedrooms, the yard, and just about any other place you happen to be! These areas are all Thomas approved. Thomas also has a spot-on organizational ability. First, he picks up something, usually his toys, (occasionally the treat jar) and thinks long and hard about the best place to store this item. After much thinking, he decides that his bed is the perfect spot. That way he can always find them, and bonus, you can too! Many things end up in his bed, but you can’t fault his logic or organization skills. Marie Kondo would be so proud! Thomas is on the lower energy spectrum. He is 9 years old and has some hip issues. For this reason, he needs a home without stairs and does need an assist into and out of the car. He walks a little on the slow side, but that speed works great for enjoying the beautiful weather outside. When asked about his perfect home, Thomas has asked for the following: 1) a kind human to love and brush him 2) a comfy bed 3) treats! That seems like a pretty simple list! He is heartworm positive and is currently being treated. If he is adopted before treatment is complete, SSR will pay for the remaining treatment.
