Alfie is a 4 1/2 year old neutered male. He is extremely timid, but is making small steps toward becoming more social. He has been good with my dogs and cat but his coping mechanism is avoidance. He is housebroken. He knows no commands but he alerts at the sound of FoMom opening the doggie treat container! He will take food from my hand but I have to take it to him for now. I don’t think he will do well with young children. Too much activity causes him to retreat to his crate and he will growl until things calm and he can de- stress. He will need love, time and patience but he is a sweet, sweet boy. Alfie will need a home with another dog to help him build confidence and learn how to interact with humans. He arrived on March 27th to the Virginia area.
