Goddess Athena was an owner surrender from Texas. Athena is a six month old puppy that was brought into the ER from her owner. They stated she has had seizures since a puppy and the day prior she had seizures ALL day long. She arrived very weak and disoriented. It was discovered when seizure meds were dosed for that of a 3 month old puppy and were never adjusted as she grew. She recovered well and hasn’t had a seizure since. She went home with a vet, but was found to be a fence jumper or digs out. She went missing for 36 hours and was found at the local pound (thank goodness we found her). She is fostered with cats and chased, but wasn’t aggressive. She loves other dogs and is friendly. She is epileptic and was thought to be vision impaired, but was recently found to actually be newly deaf. This explains the reason for her vision problem, as she is trying to process things in a different way. Either way, these items are easily managed.
