Waffles is a generally a very gentle dog. He is EXCELLENT on a lead (see caveat about prey drive below). However, beyond that, Waffles is basically a puppy. His training needs are  VERY HIGH for an 12-18 month old dog. As far as we can tell, Waffles knew none of the standard commands as of Saturday (at least not in English or German  ). That's surprising, because given how well he walks on a lead, we'd have expected Waffles to have had some formal training and be responsive to the basic commands.

Waffles arrived to his Virginia foster on February 20th.
