Jayda is a beautiful Shepard female. She her luscious, soft hair is black on the tips and tan, giving her a mostly black appearance. Jayda loves people and being near humans. She gives the sweetest kisses! She is a little shy and timid at first ( probably from being a stray for a bit) but warms up quickly and wants to be near people. At her foster’s house in Northern Virginia, her playful side has started to come out and she loves soft toys that squeak! She needs a crate to retreat to when she needs her space and is crate trained and house trained. Jayda would probably do well in a home where she can be the only animal or with other animals with a slow introduction. Jayda was was a stray near a school in Texas. The teachers kept feeding her, but could not find her owners. Jayda had an injured foot which has pretty much healed after treatment. She tested heartworm + and has been treated and is showing no other signs of the disease. She will need follow up testing and active management of preventitives.
