Lara Croft is a 1 year old smaller shepherd mix who is learning how to dog. Lara has always been on her own and has never had a place or family to call home. Each day this sweet girl continues to make strides into becoming the best dog ever! Lara Croft came to us from a Texas shelter where she was picked up as a stray. Her foster immediately started working with her on house manners and Lara continues to make huge strides daily. Lara is learning that her toys are fun to play with and that her food is in plentifully supply on the floor and in the treat bag. She adores foster mom and foster dad and is always down for cuddles! She is most of the way there on learning Crate training and sit, down. Focus and calm are in progress. Lara corrects easily and wants to please. She is a very affectionate girl who wants nothing more than to trust and love her people. Her ideal home would be somewhere that her people are mostly around. She still gets anxious when left alone because she is never sure you will be coming back. Once that trust is built, you may see that anxiety calm down. The plus side is that Lara Croft loves car rides and would be happy to accompany you on errands and see all the sights! Lara loves to run in the yard and will be happy to show you all her Zoomies! As she gets more settled in her fosters’ house, we are starting to see more and more of her playful personality. With some great training and a strong leader, Lara is going to be an amazing gem. Nuts and Bolts: 1 year old, female, spayed, 35lbs, good with people, good with kids, good with dogs, good with cats, need training, eager to please. Update: Lara is making amazing progress fast and we are crazy impressed! She's showing us her silly playful affectionate self every day. She's a total snuggle bug, giving us all the love we can take. She still is working on feeling safe when we leave, but she's getting better and better at it every time we practice. If you're looking for a loving companion, maybe Lara is the dog for you!
