Learn more about the German Shepherd Dog.
Constance ("Connie") arrived at her Virginia foster home on February 25 and has been settling in quite nicely. Connie has been very well behaved in the house and has not had any accidents so far, in her crate or otherwise. She seems to get along well with cats, other dogs (big or small) and children of all ages--with slow, proper introductions of course. Connie has even met the resident goats but showed little interest in them as well. Connie is a wonderful senior gal who would love to find a home where she can kick back, relax, nap, and enjoy a good peanut butter treat here and there. This sweet gal is low-energy and takes life at a slower pace due to her aging joints. Connie would do best in a quiet home without many stairs. She truly is a velcro dog who will cling to your side, searching for love and kisses and hopefully a home she can finally call her own. Constance was rescued from a kill shelter in Texas with massive tumors (see photo). She has since had surgery to remove the tumors and the biopsy shows they are benign. Yeah!
